Nurse Aide Training/ Home Health Aide program

The NURSE AIDE TRAINING and HOME HEALTH AIDE programs are intensive, fast paced courses that includes 116 hours of classroom, lab skill practice and clinical experience. This knowledge is geared to help students learn how to provide activities of daily living or basic care to patients in hospitals, nursing homes or in home settings. Besides clinical skills, students learn organization and time management while caring for patients.

During the Nursing Aide Training/Home Health Aide program, you will learn the fundamentals of:

Nurse Aide

  • Working in a long term care facility
  • Medical knowledge
  • Caring for daily activities
  • Infection control and common Diseases
  • Observing the resident
  • Skills for assisting the resident
  • Feeding and personal hygiene
  • Clinical experience
  • Psychosocial issues & taking care of yourself

Length and Enrollment

Nurse Aide Training/Home Health Aide courses: 116 hours
Nursing Aide Training course: 101 hours
Home Health Aide course: 15 hours
Enrollment: Ongoing


Day Time Classes
Training Hours: Total 116 hours.
Monday through Friday (for eighteen days)
8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Home Health Care Aides (2 days)
Evening Classes
Training Hours: Total 116 hours.
Monday through Thursday (for six weeks)
NAT classes run from 5:30pm – 10pm
Clinical runs from 4pm – 9pm
HHA runs from 4pm – 9:30pm (2 days)
